In 19961996, a social welfare organisatrion was formed to educate andand settle Narikorava children.
A welfare board for Narikoravas headed by the Backward Classes Minister, was authorizedauthorized by the State Government.
A demand to remove them from Backward Class list, andand include them in Scheduled Tribes, was accepted by theby the Tamil NaduTamil Nadu Govrnment.
